IAN - BASS

Slide 2.jpg

Ian has over 20 years experience in both the studio and on the road, mixing it with a combination of both originals and cover bands.

In 2003 Ian joined The Dirty Backbeats, a riotous concoction of blues, punk, and psychedelic rock with a reputation for anarchic and fervid live performances. Highlights include recording a session for Mark Lamarr’s Radio 2 programme at Maida Vale, and headlining a sold-out 93 Feet East on Brick Lane.

Up next was Leicester band Daylight Frequencies, exemplifying a strung-out, dark and heavy sound influenced by groups as eclectic as The Velvet Underground and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. The band developed a strong local following and headlined the Celebration Days festival in Cernoy, France.

More recently, Ian has been lending his talents to ska-specialists Sound Effects, leading tribute band Oasish, and professional function band Motown Gold.
