Madison Avenue UK will be happy to give advice on your evening’s entertainment. All events have a bespoke package created, however the most common event schedule will involve firstly the band setting up and checking all the equipment. Secondly background music playing while the band get changed and ready themselves for performance. Thirdly performing two sets of soul and other covers, and finally packing down after your event.
As a band we have a growing catalogue of tracks and cover music to create a perfect set for your guests to enjoy. We strongly believe in being professional, energetic and fun, while striving to create an atmosphere that your guests will remember forever.
We specialise in weddings, private parties and corporate functions, however we are also available for pubs, festivals and other public events.
Prices can vary depending on a number of factors, such as the time, size and location of the event; the number of band members available and types of equipment that are required; length and number of sets etc. Please contact us with the details of your event to receive a personalised quote to match your requirements.
In order to secure your date, as well as for your own peace of mind, we require a 15% deposit to be paid by BACS within seven days of confirming your booking with us. In the event of cancellation, your deposit will be refunded in full if it occurs within 14 days of the booking being confirmed. After this period, 50% will be refundable if the cancellation is more than 90 days before the event. The balance of the booking fee is to be paid by BACS at least 14 days before the event. Once we have agreed and discussed your needs, and both parties are happy, we will send out a contract for you to sign so you can relax and look forward to some quality live entertainment. We use contracts on all our bookings for your, and our peace of mind.
In the unlikely event of the band having to cancel, any fees paid will of course be refunded in full. Should the unexpected occur, we will use our best endeavours to secure appropriate deputy band members in order to fulfil a booking or find and recommend alternative bands.
We are based in the Midlands, however we are available for events all over the country. Prices will vary depending on how far away the booking is from us. We are also available for bookings outside of the UK, as long as our equipment rider is supplied.
A typical booking would be for a minimum 100 minutes of live music, normally 2x45 minute sets (either side of a 20-30 minute break) plus encore, however other options are available on request. We can also provide backing music via our PA system during the interval if required.
Yes, all of the equipment we use is our own and is PAT tested and covered by Public Liability Insurance.
In order to accommodate our band members and equipment, our ideal stage area needs to be a minimum of 12 feet deep x 21 feet wide.
We are happy for you to suggest songs from our repertoire that you would like to hear, however there are certain songs that segue into each other, have special arrangements or even equipment changes, so ultimately the final set is chosen by the band. Needless to say, we have masses of experience and will always adapt the set to the audience where needed.
Of course! Assuming we receive sufficient notice we are happy to learn a first dance song for you. Please give details of this when you first contact the band.
We will dress smartly and appropriate to the function. Generally, the band members will wear dark trousers with a white, grey or black shirt, or a dark dress, whereas the vocalists will normally add some colour and sparkle. Ties, jackets or suits are optional.
Singing and performing on stage can be a physical task so soft drinks are normally provided by the client. We do not include 'food or a meal' as a part of our contract, however we often have to travel for a long period to get to a venue before setting up and sound checking before an evening of performing, therefore if you do have the option to provide food or a meal for the band it is always very much welcomed.
Yes, depending on how many band members are performing, we may require a number of spaces to accommodate our vehicles. In the event of restricted access or shortage of parking the band must be notified prior to your event. This gives us time to make suitable arrangements.
